Take a good look at this poster... what do you see? Another "Nollywood movie" abi? I thought the same when I drove past the street seller hawking it yesterday. I usually buy Nigeria movie especially the new ones to have a good laugh with my friends. Yesterday I did the same I wanted to buy a particular Nigeria movie that just came out ( will not write the name of the film since I will not be writing a review about it, my mum told me if you have nothing nice to say, keep your mouth shut... I will give you a hint tho it is one of the most talked about Nigeria movies to hit the market of recent). Back to my story: anyway I bought "the movie" I went to buy, then the guy showed me Desperate Housegirls. I laughed and thought to myself 'these naija people have come again', but I bought it anyway.
I got home called all my peeps together and trust me when I call, you better answer (sowie peeps) we started the journey of the desperate house girls... This movie is Legendary (stolen phrase from a friend) I loved every moment of it. The beauty is, apart from Ini, Desmond and of course Kenneth (who I have a little crush on BTW) every other character was relatively an UNKNOWN face. They acted so well that a friend of mine could not resist shouting at the TV "DON'T STEAL ITS A TRAP!"
I will love to commend the script writer (if you see this please email me on thesourceboard@gmail.com we have to talk business), I commend the director +Desmond Elliot for creating the visual story that made an awesome script real, I salute the producer Uduak Isong who made all these come to pass I am official a Fan! Also to all the actors and actresses in this movie Mary Lazarus, Tamara Eteimo, Ini Edo to name a few you guys are amazing kudos to the great work.
OK! I have officially lost it. All these plenty praise? If you doubt me... GRAB YOUR COPY NOW! (LOL)
