Hello darlings..
I am not sure if this fuel issue is affecting you but it has crippled me totally, I have not be able to see any movies so bear with me. I finally saw this movie sha, Obi Emelonye's 'Thy will be done'. Its a drama that tells the story of a pastor who thought his wife was dead and buried until he saw her walk into his church and in that moment, his whole life changed.
It stars Ramsey Naouh, Mercy Johnson Okojie, Mary Remy Njoku, Jude Kosoko, Enyinna Nwigwe and a host of others.

Now I don't know if its just me but I kind of expected alot when I saw Obi Emelonye's name on this project. For starters,I think the story was a bit shallow, the acting too was shabby especially with the new faces, some unnecessary oversights and tackiness like the character played by Ramsey saying at one point that he doesn't take alchohol and popping a bottle of champagne twice in the next breathe.. Abeg, Moet get non-alcholic??(am just saying). Again, the last scene where Ramsey Noauh and Mary Remy Njoku were supposedly tied, that was annoyingly tacky. I could tell their hands weren't tied at all. Also, the scene where Mercy Johnson Okojie  gets the information that her husband's dead wife is alive, her reaction was completely flat. I mean, really??

Well, I liked the work of the cinematographer; it was smooth and very professional.
Generally, its an okay movie, would rate it a  5/10.

Enjoy

Its still showing in Genesis Deluxe cinemas you can go check it out.

Hello My darlings,

I was on a search for short films for today's post when I saw this on bella naija, Dr Sid went to New York film academy, he made a short film! yes a short film called the application and of course my amebo self could not let it go i had to watch it. So I did.

The  movie is about "A story about a man who’s inaction results in a great loss." well that was what he wrote as the explanation i didn't really get that cos the consequence had  nothing really to do with his action, sh*t just happens period.

I have to say tho he tried, didn't mind it was much, I had little camera moving around too much problem but apart from that it was not bad at all. Welcome to the film family Doctor!

As usual judge for yourself:

Enjoy

Hey darlings,

We are meeting the characters of Nemsia Studio's Before 30 which is centered around four women living in lagos and the pressures they face to be married before the turn 30 years old. I must say I have not had the pleasure of watching an episode yet. Although i have seen the trailer which is really inspiring love the total look and feel. Looks like something that will be really nice to see so I will definitely look for it and watch. I know its showing on DSTV incase you are wondering.

Meet the cast:

TEMI
Temi is a 27 year old lawyer and the only child of the Coker family. She is at a stage in her life where she does not know who she is so she makes emotional decisions. She is a risk taker and is likely to do things because they feel good at the time, and not necessarily because they are good for her in the long run. She tries daily to balance her own desire to find love with the pressure to just be married. But as a hopeless romantic with a meddlesome mother, this battle becomes harder to win everyday.

NKEM
Nkem is a sexy goddess. Not because of her looks but because of a confidence and assuredness that can be seen and felt from a mile a way. The way she walks, her eyes and the way she speaks all form part of what makes her irresistible to men. She is blunt and direct but she loves her friends

AMA
Ama is a free spirit with a rosy outlook on life. She always wants to do the right thing, and tries to as long as it is within her power to do so. She is very spiritual, and is not afraid to share her faith with anyone. Ama is the youngest of the four girls and it shows in her naiveté.

AISHA
Aisha being from a conservative muslim family has never really been able to choose who she wants to be. She knows who she could be without all the cultural and religious strings that restrain her. She is married to an extremely wealthy man and wants for nothing. Though she is still adjusting to the ups and downs of marriage herself, she understands her friends’ desire to be married.

AYO
Ayo is an ambitious young man and Temis high school sweetheart. He sees marriage as an unnecessary distraction at this stage in his career. Although he loves Temi, he is unable to put her needs before his ambition.

AKIN
Akin is a kind hearted humanitarian. Although successful, he spends a lot of his time He doent have the best track record with relationships but he is willing to change and settle down when he meets Temi.

SHERRIFF

Sherriff is the billionaire heir to an oil and gas empire. He is married to Aisha and is a man with old fashioned Northern values, despite his western education. He is generous and extremely smart but has a sense on entitlement that comes with growing up with unfathomable wealth.

MEET AND GREET: BEFORE 30

Hey my Darlings,

I came across this remarkable piece of work, some people may not agree with me... I am not sure they got everything right but I can say for a fact they got their message across well. The shooting was done well, the lighting was quite nice liked the happy feel to such a sad story. Kudos guys on the work only one problem I think the acting was a little below par.

One scene i really like when she discovered she was pregnant, she threw a believable tantrum although some of the story didn't add up like throwing up and discovering you are pregnant from that alone? Needed more on the story part. One last thing if you are telling a story in a movie and there is no reason for the character to have an accent please do not you use one (doesn't matter which one yoruba, igbo, american or british). Overall it was ok.

Written and Directed by Best Okoduwa, Produced by Stephanie Umogbai and Muyiwa Onipede, it features Chris Biyibi, Stephanie Umogbai and Best Okoduwa.

Synopsis:
An emotional drama that tells the story of Adesuwa who was raped by and compelled into a sexual relationship with her father from a very young age of 15.

I will rate a 5/10

You can make your own mind;

Enjoy

SHORT FILM: CRUSHED

hello my lovelies,

I totally forgot that I was following a reality show sorry this is coming late. I watched episode I was not impressed but hey I can not knock anyone's hustle but as I said before only watch if you have data o... will not be blamed for that. In this episode am guess they needed to do promo for the resort they are using so it was shot around "their mansion" surrounding. Chika introduced his creative director of life who was dress rather funny for someone she says is the most creative person she has b
met before, please see for yourself

Please bear with me for the quality I took from a computer screen with my phone.

Am guessing she was going for a Jay from tyra's ANTM, O by the way he wears makeup.. All am saying is that he should be better dressed, in african attire but better.

I can not see any individuality from he contestants yet except the girl that is always quarrelling with everyone (with short hair) have no clue what her name is. I really liked Chika's outfit when they were running around, she was wearing a trouser with a tailed top. I think all the thought for the show went into her outfits (#justsaying).

This episode will get a  4/10 from me.

Watch and tell me what you think:

Enjoy

Hello My darling,

This week has been one of them weeks, am sure lagosians will testify to the fact that there was not fuel anywhere but today the fuel stations started selling so that is a yay! for us.

I decided I was going to do something different this weekend instead of watching movies I went to see a stage play. In Nigeria we do not really appreciated the work that needs to go into or goes into a stage play, fortunately this one was different. You have not seen anything like it, I know I like to write negatives and positives, today I have no negatives this play is beautiful well written, stella cast and crew all round beautifulness.

Where do I even start Auntie Joke was epic, Mrs Taiwo, Kate, Bimbo, infact everyone was amazing. I got a few shocking moment the monologue by Lala about a prostitute in Europe was my favorite. This show was epic, best 10k ever spent. They tickets range from 5- 10k. If you live in Lagos or are in Lagos don't let history be made behind you just jog, trek, bus, fly, drive down to muson center on the days on the flier.
Don't worry you can buy you ticket at the venue, online at dealsdey, afritickets, and jumia, or at terra culture.

Information on the HEAR WORD:

A dramatic production, which portrays true life stories of 22 different Nigerian women from various walks of life, opens this Friday, May 1, 2015 at the MUSON Centre in Lagos.

The play, directed by Ifeoma Fafunwa, casts some of Nollywood’s most seasoned actresses like Joke Silva, Kate Henshaw,Deborah Ohiri, Bimbo Akintola, Elvina Ibru, Ufuoma Mcdermott, Lala Akindoju, Taiwo Ajai-Lycett and many more. The play, will run through the month of May for theatre lovers and non lovers.
