GBOMO GBOMO EXPRESS MOVIE REVIEW (2015)

Hello My Darlings,

How has your weekend been? I hope it has been awesome like mine ( if awesome to you is just bingeing on movies all day). I have been a bit busy that is why i haven't written in a little while. I actually watched gbomo gbomo express a couple of weeks ago at genesis deluxe cinema at the palms but laziness would not let me write anything.

Walterbanger productions came up with this brilliant movie that I most say is very different from what we are use to in Nigeria. Lets start with what I liked about this movie (to be frank there was only a few things I didn't like) I love the depth of each character, they way the were brought to life was amazing from their clothes to their behaviour and so much more. General idea of plot was that Ramsey Noah's character a record label boss was hated by his business partner as well as one of his artists and the decided to take matters into their own hands, Osas Ajibade"s character was a rich kid that was angry with her step mother who took over her father's company after he passed away, Kiki Omeli and Gideon okeke and Gbenro Ajibade's character are petty thieves that got the wrong end of the stick. My favorite characters where kiki's and Gbenro's characters they where deep, funny and all round awesome. All the actors in this movie brought their A game.

What I didn't like in the movie was directing style, the camera angles where too ambitious which for me took away from the movie. I know the director was trying  different things with a camera but NO! it was just not working for me. Some may say I do not understand creativity (as I always say this is my opinion) I will say I do, just don't want to be turning my head sideway in other to see what is happening in a scene.
That is the only thing I didn't like.

Synopsis:
Gbomo Gbomo Express' is centred around the kidnapping of record label boss, Austin Mba and Cassandra, a beautiful socialite, after a celebratory night out at the club.
Things get increasingly complicated for the amateur kidnappers led by Francis, who has trouble keeping his girlfriend, Blessing and crazy sidekick, Filo, in check, as they shakedown Rotimi, Austin’s partner, to pay the ransom.

Directed by Walter ‘Waltbanger’ Taylaur

Starring: Ramsey Nouah, Osas Ajibade, Gbenro Ajibade, Kiki Omeli, Kenneth Okolie,Gideon Okeke, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Ikechukwu and many more

You can still see this movie at Genesis Deluxe Cinemas and Film House Cinemas

I will be rating this movie at a 9/10

Enjoy
