MARRY ME: by FALZ featuring Yemi Alade.
Directed by MEX
Hey my Darlings,
Here is the thing I have loved this song for a while. It was shot as a short comedy film which i totally appreciated. I think it will made a good bridge for a smashing movie (nollywood) script writers take note. I think Mr Mex captured the essence of this song don't you?
I think yemi alade will make a good actress (whispering) #justsaying

Now do you see why we are crushing seriously on this young man?
How was you holiday? Mine was really fun had movie weekend with a bunch of friends, sadly we did not see any Nigerian movies (sad faces all round) but I was able to watch this new series online called INDIGO. Apparently this series is supposed to be a musical, honestly am not sure what it is yet.
From my "little" knowledge on series i believe the pilot of a series should get me to want to see the rest. The series even after seeing two episodes well am not excited at all.
For my bad side, I thought a director should bring out the best in an actor, I dont think Munachi Abi had that. She is a brilliant musician as an actress, NO! I disagree totally. I hope she gets better with time. The cast line up did not suit the intended purpose, I love Shawn Faqua he is brillant, in this movie not so much. The guy (Baaj adebule)that plays munachi's ex is just too much maybe that was the idea of his character i dont know.
A question I will like to ask is why does everyone have an american accent? I weak on the matter. Everyone is so expressive this is not stage o its film (OMG).
For my good side, I think the cinematography was very good, for the technical crew more grease to your elbow.
I will post the first 3 episodes here, you can always check it out on youtube.
EPISODE 1 (PILOT)
SIDE NOTE: Whats with the shot where the guy is singing while this guy keeps walking across shot, so all we can mostly see is his butt.
EPISODE 2:
SIDE NOTE: Dear editor increasing the sound on a tv programme will enhance our ability to enjoy the movie. #justsaying
EPISODE 3:
SIDE NOTE: I didn't watch this episode... i got tired!
I always loved this song then i saw the video, I think the video was really thought through and really enhances the song for me. Add Falz to it, was just the right cherry on the cake.
Give big up to the director of the video Mex, the stylist of this video (please send the name) and make up artist, beautiful job
We will be starting a new type of reviews, we will be reviewing, or just posting music video we think has a good storyline or will make good soundtrack for movies.
We think the music industry has a vital role to play in movie making.
Just a quick in put we will not be post club jamz if we don't think it will make a good sound track.
On friday was the world premiere of tempting fate, my friends had tickets for the premiere and asked me to come along (if only they know they where dragging a tatafo like me). We got all dressed up and headed out. The tickets say the gate will be closed at 7:30pm, we got there at about 6:30 little did we know that this movie would not be starting till about 8:30 i think. I am a bit grouchy about it because i was wearing heels standing... (not cool). Anyway that wasn't anything new since thats what happens in most premieres so tempting fate team i accept your apology and i will try to move on ( they apologies before the movie started).
Now, to the juicy part, the movie. I had absolutely no expectation when I went to see this movie frankly it was something to do on a friday to pass time. I have only one sentence to describe this movie " it is a nollywood film shot in America" no offence to the producers of this movie but hey what was the issues... Oh my God the opening was not syncing Chinedu's song at the beginning tho. What happened? I was totally not impressed. I was really not happy about the Russian boss accent i think i could have done a better job (i have not ideaz on zee way to zpeak withz a Russian accent), one of my friends actually said at the end of the movie when the cast spoke to us "Oh that's why, he isn't Russian he is america, that explains it." I will like to ask a question: we in Nigeria have little access to special effects and we do pretty convincing gun shots, and gun shot wounds what your excuse for the have harzard make up and Fx (special effects) in this movie. The death scene at the end with Ramsey broke my heart cos i felt Ugo's character desired better FX. I do not understand it, dont think anyone else did but if you did please leave a comment below abeg!
To the good parts, Mr Ramsey Nouah! this has nothing to do with the fact that you are Nigeria but God knows you where on another level from the rest. The acting was impeccable and very believable, I love the character Ugo ( I guess this props also goes to the script writer). Ramsey brought this to live so much so that we could not help but hate him, which is the best thing an actor could do. Play a character so well that people start identifying him with that character. I Hail jare!
I also like to give props to the cinematographer, he didn't do a bad job at all.
For me my most memorable scene which I officially name "THE MOST EPICNESS IN A MOVIE" is when Chinedu found out what his brother and girl friend had done, i think his reaction was the most natural thing I have seen in a movie in a long time. They were so good together in that scene. I would love to acknowledge Tiffany Denish Turner and Andrew Onochie for the beautiful job they pull on this scene. It had a huge impact on me.
I think generally this was an ok movie, I like the christianity angle of this movie. I appreciate the hard work and money that was put in it.
Synopsis:
Two brothers, one of deep faith and the other buried in a life of crime have their worlds torn apart when the wrong one goes to jail and the other commits an unforgivable act.
Starring Ramsey Nouah, Dan Davies, Kimberly Kral, Tiffany Denish Turner and many more
Written, Produced and Directed by Kevin Nkem Nwankwor
I will be rating this movie 5/10
Enjoy the trailer you can watch this movie in cinemas nationwide on the 17th July.
PS: Remember this is just my opinion, go watch the movie and tell us what you think about it in our comment section. Thank you
Today we are crushing on the very Handsome Mr Wole Ojo, born on the 6th June 1984, graduate of creative art in University of Lagos. He is one of the only actor that can actually say that they where child actors in Nigeria. He starred in Kidivision 101 and One Big Family both aired on NTA.
By 2008/2009 he own the amstel malta box office reality tv show, and was featured in an AMBO sponsored film project called "THE CHILD" which earned him a nomination in AMA awards as the most promising actor for that year. He won the best student actor at the peck awards in 2011 for his role in Maami were he played along side Funke Akindele.
He has also been in other movies and short films like When fishes drown (2012), Conversation at dinner (2013), Brave and of course 3 is company (2015)
If you want to have a chilled day and a good laugh with the people you care about please go get the new movie "3 is company" which a combination of drama, comedy, romance and much more. This movie is produced by Yvonne Jegede. Directed by Ernest Obi. Miss yvonne I owe you a big apology I thought this movie will be crap even if it has Oc and the very beloved Wole (fanning myself), I can admit when I am wrong. I was wrong. This was an amazing low budget project, which didn't show it. The cast were impeccable I believed Oc as a very supportive husband who loves his wife no matter what. Wole as the comic relief and that guy that wouldn't just go away but you still love to death although he is a bit much.
Yvonne jegede was really good she did her part in this movie, she carried her own. The casting for her antagonist Peggy Ovireb was beautiful I believed she really hated her. I actually forgot for a moment that i was watching a Nigerian movie.
The only issues I had was the continuity were wrong in some places, the makeup kept changing even when it was the same day. Just a little mistake here and there which i can honestly forgive.
Synopsis:
When he husband's best friend starts to date her arch-enemy she decides that this will not stand...
I will be giving this movie an 8/10
Everyone go out and go find this movie. you can find it on Irokotv.com
After HISTORY BOX we decided on Devil in the detail a movie but shirley frimpong manso and ken Attoh. First opinion from the start of the movie was what am I watching right now but I most say it was not what I expected since I was watching a movie from a ghana director I expected some very "dirty" sexy scenes which this movie has by the way. Sex is a theme in this movie the movie actually opens to a sex scene (please hide the kids before you start). However shirley manages to make it tasteful.
I thought it was wayyy too slow to get to the point, i got tired. Although the plot of the movie was quite detailed.
Synopsis:
"Ben (Adjetey Anang) and Helen (Nse Ikpe- Etim) are a high powered couple who live in the upper side of town, earn at least 6 figures and are striking enough to give off the appearance of the perfect marriage. Until cracks begin to show. Helen starts to get distracted; late night phone calls, text messages that just won’t quit, roses are delivered to her home by an unknown admirer. What is a man to do? Her husband trails her and uncovers a dangerous liaison with a hot-bodied youngster. He is devastated. She must be having an affair. Or so it seems, but is she really?"
This movie stars Nse Ikpe-Etim and Adjetey Anang. I most say I could not have picked a better cast. I will give this movie 7/10 because i think there where some boring gaps in the movie.
Enjoy the trailer:
Hey my Darlings,
I had a Nollywood marathon weekend with my friends (God bless them for their patience), I got a stack of Nigerian movie which we watch but half way we had to add alcohol into the mix because that was the only way to get through it.
Just in case you find this review a little harsh please forgive as I had a lot of drinking people who had an opinion on this as well (Ps I promise I was not drinking LOL).
I will start with, the movie is produced by Jessica Agu directed by Desmond Elliot, starring Joseph Benjamin, Ebube Nwagbo, Uti Nwachukwu, Melvin (BBA contestant for Nigeria) and some other people. I am not sure what genre this movie is so I will call it PURE DRAMA!
The movie starts with Joseph Benjamin character having a conversation with his wife then driving out to meet his friends, there was this very terrible radio show that was on the radio. That was just really bad who thought that work? please explain i will like to know. Melvin i most say either has a smiling face or he cant keep it together while acting. He was "in pain" and he kept smiling ( I did not get that at all). I most say the girl that played his girl friend was really good I appreciated her for helping me through the scenes I loved her.
Uti nwachukwu was a breath of fresh air (thank you my brother for that, i take back everything bad I have ever said about *wink). his wife was just wrong! Dear writer please clarify at what point did you establish Zach Uti's character as a woman wrapper ( player) i weak sha.
Jessica Agu's character was just way too sexy for a younger sister, i truly thought at some point she was going to jump her brother, which will yield a twist that she was actually his lover ( no such luck), she was just his sister.
Before we got to the ending part of the movie one of my friend's actually said "Ebube Nwagbo is just unnecessary in this film" but to our surprise there was more to her than we thought, so her bad!
Whats with the heels all the girls in the movie were wearing even at home? I weak for the wardrobe somebodi and the short dresses... i reserve my comment.
The flash backs in the end shaaaaa, even Inception the movie has nothing on it, there was a flashback within a flashback trying to explain a flashback (is your head spinning yet? that's how i felt). Note continuity if the flash back was years ago please make sure she doesnt have the same artifical nails that she could not afford back then #justsaying.
Who gets drunk on red wine? really writer? thats all you could come up with. An whats with the lame dialogue "yo yo yo this is not good for your ulcer "(PS you never said he has an ulcer until now TING!)
My good points, it was quite entertaining cos i had some good laughs at the ridiculousness of this movie. At a point my other friend said "menh i need me some new t-shirts" LOL. Honestly I think the end of this movie was just drawn out just to give face time to your selling stars.
I will rate this movie a 3/10 all because of UTI NWACHUKWU and the girl that played melvin's wife. ( please send me you name if you see this)
