Hey darlings,
How are you guys doing, been
busy, that’s why you have not heard from me for a while but here I am to
give you the full gist of the movie I watched last week.
I was at the movies last week and I saw
SURULERE, It was comedy up until the part where Seun kissed Beverly and I’m
like what’s going on here, the only thing I didn’t like about the movie is the
fact that they just dropped the romantic scene without a build up, if the
director wanted it to be a romantic comedy, she should have built up the
romance from the beginning but it’s preferably comedy.
My best actors were Tope who played the
flamboyant character (that came out as a little gay) and he killed it and Enyinaya that
played the Ibo boy character, he was very funny with his Ibo accent. They was a very surprising scene between Seun's character and Gregory's character, I almost puked,(OMG) I guess we are pushing boundaries now in our movies. Kemi was quite funny too
when she played the role of the land lady, she had to sing all this songs in
Yoruba and the songs were very funny. This movie will make you laugh really hard.
The story was great and all the actors brought their A game. it was funny all through, I mean I
laughed all through.
Synopsis:
SURULERE is a comedy that that focuses on
the life of a young man that was financially frustrated and needed quick money
to take care of his financial problems and his wishes come to pass when he
meets a beautiful desperate woman who had money to give away for a research she
needed for her promotion.
The actors were Seun Ajayi, Enyinaya
Nwigwe, Beverly Naya, Tope Tedela, Rita Dominic, Kemi Lala Akindoju, Gregory
Ojefua, amongst others. It was directed by Mildred Okwo.
I would say this is my best Mildred Okwo
movie, she brought in her best and she chose the right characters for this
movie. Well go and watch the movie and tell me your review.
I’ll rate this
movie at 7/10.
Here is the trailer Enjoy
